“Draw closer to me.” That is what I believe that God was calling me to do when He put the opportunity to come to Africa before me. This was to be a season of getting out of the loudness of the world around me and to focus on Him. It is so easy to get caught up in work and other things that are part of our routine. I needed to draw closer to the One who should be at the center of everything. It took me coming to Africa to really see this and I am thankful for this time. I have learned so much about who God is and who I am in Him. Part of the joy of this trip has been seeing His wonderful creation all around. The people, beautiful sunsets, elephants (who like to surprise everyone and just show up on the side of the road), zebras, giraffes, hippos, and the list goes on…amazing…His creation!! Spending time with baby Bella has been wonderful. Bella is a beautiful, sweet, and happy baby. It is great to see her many faces and to hear her joyful babbling. I am blessed to have met Bella and the Held family! God is so good and I am thankful for this time of drawing closer to Him.
